To comply with the Government’s COVID-19 regulations, we are enforcing the following procedures in our office:
1. Maintaining social distancing in the conference rooms. This may mean that we can only have one client at a time in our meetings.
2. Having meetings by appointments only so that we can monitor the amount of foot traffic through our office.
3. Routine cleaning of all surfaces in our offices.
4. Registered as a COVID-Safe business with a public COVID-Safe plan.
In terms of how COVID-19 has affected the area of family law, it has had adverse impacts. At present, all Court hearings are being conducted on a teleconference system. We are phoned into the hearing with the Judge and the other legal representative.
The COVID-19 pandemic could mean that any existing court orders about child arrangements may no longer be reasonable or practicable. During this time, the safety and wellbeing of both the parents and the children need to be considered. Court orders are still in force during this time. However, the pandemic can make it difficult to follow the orders. We encourage you to get in touch with your legal representative if you are uncertain about your position in relation to any court orders at this time.
If you are required to self-isolate during this time and you have an existing upcoming appointment with us, please let us know as soon as possible – we are more than happy to accommodate this by having the meeting over a phone call.
Our aim is to ensure that you are fully informed about your legal options for your specific matter.
At Park Avenue Family Law we pride ourselves on our knowledge, our approach to your matter, and our enthusiasm to reaching an amicable outcome.
We understand that sometimes you cannot make appointments without the kids. For this reason, we provide a family friendly space with room for the children to play whilst we discuss your legal matter with you.
If you make an enquiry via our online website or by telephone, we guarantee that you will receive a call back within 24 working hours.
We provide a costs agreement after an initial appointment so that you have an estimate of the costs of our legal services from the outset.
We endeavour to act diligently, efficiently & as promptly as reasonably practicably with your matter.
We provide the first booked consultation with us at a reduced price so that we can analyse your situation and choose how to progress from there with you.
